| Got SpyWare? use this page to assist, if the problems persist, consider more help |
| Marketers will
do anything to get you to click ads and hit their webpage including
sabotage your computer to the point where you have no control of
internet browsing! If you have Spyware, Adware or Malware, your
computers privacy has been compromised and your computer is in someone
elses hands. Take back your
Privacy and your Computer.
When you install free programs from the internet like a web page "add-on" or a handy program for seeing the temperature on your taskbar or screensavers, you are paying the price by giving away your computers privacy. They "piggy back" the spyware program within the free installer that sneaks in your computer as you install the freebie. You will get your free program, but you got something else too. Examples of such programs are Kazaa, Pogo Games and WebShots screensaver. But there are thousands more!! The program that puts extra buttons on your internet browser bar, the casino game, the mouse arrow changer, the special video player you need to view the websites movies.. ALL GARBAGE! *My tips are: Your computer comes with almost everything you need. Don't pollute it with cute crap just for something to try. Only install absolutely necessary programs on your computer. Use your PC strictly for business. No toys unless its a children's PC and you bought the software in a retail outlet. Also, don't be tricked into clicking yes on webpages.. you probably don't need it whatever they say you do. X out ALL Popups. |
| How | They can sneak in when you install free software from the internet or when you click YES on web pages. |
| What | It can be any file installer. Some are scripted into the scumbags websites. Don't say yes! |
| When | While you don't expect to be getting anything bad on your computer |
| Where | At the websites that are affiliated with these scumbag marketers |
| Why | To make any kind of money to keep their website more profitable. The website gets paid to add spy stuff to the software. The marketers do it to study your browsing habits for marketing research and target specific ads just for you. Some sites get paid per ad click, so they steer you on their affiliate websites. There is money in advertising. |

Internet Explorer Security Zones |
|
Microsoft Internet Explorer is the most popular web browser. Most webpages are coded specifically for IE. If you use IE 5 or higher, you can keep known spy/ad sites from giving you file downloads. |
|
By running this reg file, it will add hundreds of known offenders to your IE's Restricted Internet Zone. In turn, the webpage can not give you any files or malicious scripts to prompt installs. After you add these settings, you may get messages that say "Active X can not be run on this page" or "Your Security Settings Do Not Allow.." , it means you are on or trying to connect to one of the known spyware/adware sites. |

Internet Explorer Cookie Settings |
|
Cookies are small files given to you by the web pages you visit. They are both good and bad. Good ones tell a shop site the items in your shopping basket, or what city you are in for movie listings. Bad ones can track what you have clicked on and which ads you have seen to give you more ads. |
|
By running this registry file, it will add the 20 Largest Cookie Companies that are affiliated with sites all over the internet. After, you add these sites, your computer will simply reject the cookie and they can not track your web browsing preferences. |
|
Download it here. Simply double click it, say yes then say ok. To alter these sites or add and remove them.. within Internet Explorer.. Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab > click Edit button |
|
Use Firefox as your Web Browser and avoid half of these measures |
| 95% of people use Internet Explorer to surf the web because it comes with Windows. Hackers and advertisers use that statistic as the reason to code all their malicious spyware installer code and virus code is just for Internet Explorer. But, there is more than one way to surf the internet.. |
| Good Alternatives are Opera, Netscape and most recently Firefox. Get it here. |
